I believe homelessness can be fixed. It’s not inevitable and we don’t have to tolerate it. Homelessness is not a natural part of the human condition and it’s not a natural feature of our economy. Solutions exist. While some good things are happening we need the wider community to get involved and to get informed for real change to happen. This challenge will raise money but more importantly it will raise awareness. It’s a challenge you can do in your backyard with your kids or separately with your colleagues at work or with your friendship groups. Covid-19 taught us that our own health is intimately connected to the health of the person next to us and that everyone needs shelter and connections. So why not make Melbourne a world leading city in ending homelessness!
