Sadly in May of this year, I (Bex) lost a friend to Cancer. She was an incredibly brave, strong and determined lady...a mother of two children.

Her two beautiful children have of course been left devastated. To lose their mother at such a young age is truly tragic and heart-breaking.

Mosaic is an amazing local charity based in Milborne St. Andrew, who have provided a fantastic and much needed support network for my friend's family and 100s of other families in Dorset. They are a child-centred service offering a pathway of support for bereaved children, young people and their families. They also provide support for young people who are facing the death of a parent or loved one. After an initial assessment, individuals are offered a wide range of therapeutic support suited to them.

I know both of my friend's children are looking forward to a Mosaic residential weekend in the early part of next year, where they will be able to share experiences, remember their mum and most importantly 'have fun'.

Our target is to fund a Mosaic Residential weekend which costs approximately £5000. Having watched a film of the last weekend held at Leeson House, Langton Matravers, it totally touched our hearts. The children have such a special time there.

Lou (Dutch) and I relish a challenge so on June 13th 2015, we are going to be running The Petzl South Downs Way 100.This is a 100 mile foot race (161km) taking in the entire South Downs Way National Trail, from Winchester to Eastbourne. The route boasts a total climb of 12,700 feet. Runners must finish the course within a thirty hour time limit and there are additional cut offs on route which we must also make in time, in order to continue.

Any donation you are able to make to support our huge challenge really will make a massive difference to every child and young person lucky enough to attend a Mosaic Residential weekend.

Thank you so much for your support.
