I was very fortunate this year to gain a  place for my first London Marathon.                                                                    It is said that around 410,000 people enter the general ballot with only about 17.000 gaining a place this way!  (Scratch cards, I’m not so lucky with!)

I started my training early January and have been posting  a small training progress update each Sunday on Facebook which gained interest from my lovely Family, Friends and Clients so I’m now going to ask you all to support me  (give me that extra push🏃🏼‍♂️😳) by raising a few funds. 

I have chosen  a small local charity; one that I have had help from during my time as a parent. One that I know our donations will make a huge difference to. 

Winchester youth Counsellors  (WYC)

Just one donation of £26 will cover the counsellor rates for a 50 mins session. That’s just £1 a mile 🤗

1 in 10 children/young people are affected by a mental and emotional health issue - 70% of which do not receive the appropriate support.

In 2022, WYC doubled the number of counselling hours offered, however since November 2022, they have received an unprecedented number of referrals averaging at 40 referrals per month. Prior to November, the average was 25 referrals per month.

Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) has a waitlist of around 2 years and so the need for support from smaller mental health services like WYC is vital in our community and that is why this small charity will be stronger with our help!
