When a child is poorly in hospital, their family can be faced with travelling long distances every day, paying for costly hotel rooms, or even sleeping in a hospital chair or their car, to be close by.

That’s where Ronald McDonald House Charities comes in, providing them with a comfortable place to stay, close to their child and free of charge, giving families more time together and energy to focus on healing.

Staff and volunteers at Ronald McDonald Houses welcome families to stay for days, weeks and even years, supporting them through the hardest times of their lives.

In 2017, the Charity helped over 8,000 families at 14 Houses across the UK, and plans for new Houses are well underway.

As an independent charity, Ronald McDonald House Charities relies on the support and generosity of volunteers, fundraisers and donors to keep its Houses open.
