We've had to pivot and think of new ways to function in this new, crazy world! 

In a "regular" year, the Town of Cary becomes a haven for film buffs September 24-27, 2020 as The Cary Theater welcomes year three of BEYOND: The Cary Film Festival. We’re featuring curated feature films and independently produced short films and screenplays. The festival also includes filmmaking and screenwriting workshops for all ages. This year, we're still going BEYOND, but in a virtual format!

Produced by the Cary Theater, BEYOND received a record number of entries and selected 31 films for festival competition. Those 31 films will screen virtually over four days, Sept. 24-27. The festival includes virtual workshops and Q&As with filmmakers, a special virtual table read of the screenwriting competition winner, and more.

We believe in the power of the arts to feed people's souls. And, we want to reach out to our community to serve them during this time of need! Instead of selling tickets to our event, we are asking patrons to donate to the Food Bank so that the arts can feed our community in multiple ways!
