Story
Over at Beyond The Curtain, a theatre blog that I run, I've decided in August to do a fundraising day where I did interviewers on Instagram live. After the success of that, I'm doing some more interviews, this time filmed over Zoom and uploaded to my Instagram and YouTube with stagey people. Hope you enjoy and if you can donate please do.
I've decided to raise money for Acting For Others. Theatre is a huge passion of mine. It's been a strange time these past few months without theatre and with all the devastating news of theatres closing and redundancies. Personally, where I worked at the Leicester Haymarket Theatre was one of the first theatres to go bust. Hopefully doing this day can help out a few people who have worked in the arts through the wonderful work Acting For Others do. Please read below about more that Acting For Others do:
For every successful theatre worker, there are hundreds of actors, dancers, musicians, lighting technicians, wardrobe staff, front of house, backstage workers who are not so fortunate. Acting for Others is here to provide not only financial but emotional support to all theatre workers in times of need through the 14 member charities. At this difficult time for all, the theatre industry needs your support more than ever. With the closure of theatre, tens of thousands of theatre workers across the UK are facing unemployment and financial uncertainty for a number of months. We thank you all for supporting the theatre community at this time.
