Story

In the loving memory of our mother, dadi, nanny Mrs Bhanumati Pattni,

So that together we may acknowledge and share both our joy in the gift that her life was to us, and the pain that her passing brings. In sharing the joy and the pain of her departure today, may we lessen the pain and remember more clearly the joy. We wish that we had more time together.

While we know that she is at peace and that her struggles are at an end, there is pain and sadness. But even though she is gone, she has
left the legacy of her love and perseverance. The ways she touched our lives will remain, and we ask you to keep those memories alive by sharing them with one another.

One of the most important things in mother’s life was her family, and she took great pride in offering support to all.

Our mother was a great cook and had a good community spirit,
she enjoyed bringing the people together and cooking for them.

In the early eighties she used to love singing garba at the local community centre. She loved also participating in the actual garba. Bhanumati loved going to the local community centre where she made many friends.  At the community centre she loved colouring, knitting, singing bhajans and taking part in activities organised by the day
centre.

Our mother often sang in the kitchen Rajesh Khana songs whilst cooking.

Her favourite movie was Suhag and famous Garbo “O Sheronwali”.   She also loved the movie “Junglee” with Shami Kapoor - song from the film – Chahe Koi Mujhe Junglee Ke Hai.  One of the first films she and our father saw was Junglee. They were married on the 10th November 1962.

Later in life our mother took up needlework and would knit bottle warmers and baby clothes together looking after her grandchildren.

Our mother had a very sincere heart and lovable personality. She enjoyed giving and being a pillar of support for those in
need.

Our mother was 81 when she sadly passed away on Monday
April 6th 2020. Bhanumati was married to Mr Ramniklal Pattni with six children.

In memory of Bhanumati Pattni, we would like mourners to
donate to a worthy cause “In Lieu of Flowers”.
