Before the BHF 4 out of 5 children born with a congenital heart defect never made it to their 1st birthday. BHF are researching new innovative ways on how to improve the lives of these children with new valves and medical research.

Everyone knows my son George and knows how much of an inspiration he is to us all. He is currently recovering from his 3rd open heart surgery. The surgery was a significant improvement but not perfect. It will never be perfect until such time when medical advances are made. The BHF are working on a valve that could give children and adults a much better chance of valve repairs.
