Berkeley Homes' Berkeley Island

Berkeley Island · 17 May 2019
On 17th May staff from Berkeley Homes (Oxford & Chiltern) will be leaving their suits, office attire and home comforts at home and heading to Berkeley Island, a deserted island off the coast of Wales.
For 3 days they will need to build their own shelters and fires to keep warm, design weapons to fend off creatures of the night and learn how to navigate the rugged terrain of Berkeley Island. They will also be taking on challenges in teams to earn Berkeley Bullion. This 2 night survival challenge will test their mental and physical skills.
The team are taking on this challenge in aid of Helen and Douglas House, our designated charity for 20 years.
Helen and Douglas House care for terminally ill children and their families at their hospice in Oxford and at home. They provide medical, emotional and practical support, helping families deal with the implications of living with a child who will die prematurely, so they can make the most of their time together.
Its a special place that feels like home from home, where families can make the most of their time together and create happy memories during their children's short lives.
Your donations to this worthwhile charity would be greatly appreicated.
Many thanks in advance.
