The British Horse Society (BHS) aim to protect and promote the interests of all horses and those who care about them. Our core foundations – education, welfare, access and safety – are more important than ever as they demonstrably make a difference to horses’ lives.

Story

The commitment to access for horses and riders is a vital part of the BHS’s charitable work. We know the importance of safe off-road riding, not only for our members but for all equestrians.

So, in 2015 we established a new BHS fund that you can donate into, which provides multi-user routes in Scotland and Northern Ireland, and Bridleways and Restricted Byways in England and Wales.

With your donations, local BHS committees and affiliated access groups can develop new routes in your area – meaning more of the great outdoors to enjoy with your equine friends!

This is an exciting development for our access work, one that can make a real difference now for equestrians who want to hack out and carriage drive safely. We pledge to keep equestrians safe, horses happy and well, and support the continued growth of our sport and the horse industry which is such an important part of our national and local economies.

But we can only do it with your help – please donate today.
