The Big Comedy Shake-up · 27 September 2018

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.

Story

The Big Comedy Shake-up took place on 27 September 2018 at The Grand Connaught Rooms, London. A big thank you to all of our guests for coming and showing your support for Parkinson's research.

We brought comedy performances from Parkinson’s UK resident funny men Rob Deering and Paul Mayhew-Archer and our headliner Al Murray - The Pub Landlord. The evening was also hosted by Sky Sports presenter Dave Clark and TV presenter Natasha Kaplinsky.

They say laughter is the best medicine but Parkinson’s is no joke and, sadly, there’s no last laugh yet because the drugs just aren’t good enough. They don’t slow, stop, or reverse the condition – and can have distressing side effects.
