Story

** Target doubled as we are doing so well!  **

Our mate and absolute punk-rock legend, Matthew ‘Bomber’ Lancaster passed away on 18th August 2019. He was always first down the front, first to dance, and last to leave at any punk gig he attended – and he went to a LOT of gigs. Bands around the world knew him – who could miss the loony with the smile plastered on his face and his special pointy dance, crowd surfing, and just all-round fucking good guy.

We know what he’d want in his remembrance would be a bloody big gig – full of happy people, having a dance down the front in his name.  Unfortunately, the current Coronavirus situation meant we couldn't put on the planned two-day event at Mama Liz's.

So we’re joining forces with No Gods No Managers to put on a virtual stream show instead!  It still is happening on the original dates; two evening shows on Friday 8th and Saturday 9th May.  We would ask you all to dig as deep as you can (we understand it's very tough times!) - donate what you can if you can - and if you can't, raise a glass with us in Matt's honour!

Matty’s brother Paul had suggested it be a fundraiser to support homelessness as this was a cause close to his heart, and as at this time it's even more important to help the vulnerable, we could think of nothing better than support this cause....

Through the work of the Peterborough Winter Night Shelter and the Garden House day time centre we support hundreds of people who are sleeping rough every year. At this challenging time for all we are increasing our support and working with the local authority to ensure everyone has a safe space to sleep and call home. No person should be on the streets, but particularly at this time! Our team are working hard to offer loads of love and support through support into and in accommodation, help to get regular and healthy food, cleaning and washing facilities and helping people get access to very important health advice and support. The horrible virus presents us with a real opportunity to engage with more people who finds themselves without a home, and really help them look to a long term future of hope and stability. Thank you for you support and considering backing our work.
