Story
From the 1st to 31st August 2021, colleagues at Bioenergy Infrastructure Group have set themselves a challenge to cover a staggering 1550 miles, all in aid of mental health charity - Mind.
'Miles for Mind' brings people together to raise money & awareness for mental health, through running (or walking). Our target of 1550 miles is the equivalent of us covering the distance between all of our facilities throughout the UK... with a few miles to spare!
That is from our Head office in Theale, upto Ince and Widnes before heading across to Evermore in Londonderry, over to Levenseat, down to Hull and then down a little further to Hoddeston, before settling back in Theale. Unsurprisingly we couldn't quite convince everyone to swim the Irish Sea - so we'll each be covering a variety of miles a little closer to home, in order to reach our combined goal.
Mind is a fantastic charity and the work they do is so incredibly important, especially after a challenging 18 months and the impacts we've seen national restrictions have on our own, and our loved one's mental health. Mind provide advice and support to empower everyone experiencing a mental health problem and campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding, with one key objective: We wont give up until everyone experiencing a mental health problem gets support and respect.
To help support Mind, we're looking to raise £1 for every mile we cover throughout August and any donations to help us reach our target would be hugely appreciated. All the money raised will be donated to Mind at the end of the month.
