On the 9th of May 2020 I will be joining the organised Big Nacoa Walk and joining 49 others to walk the 26 miles of The Peak District 6 Dales Circuit to raise money for NACOA.

Or rather...pre covid-19, that is what I WAS going to be doing! Since then obviously the walk has had to be postponed until next year. So instead I am turning to another love of mine, nature and painting. I am going to create 26 mini postcard sized paintings as part of the '2.6' Challenge to help charities during this difficult time, for 26 people who will choose which bird they would like me to paint for them or someone they know.

To my friends and family, so many of you were super generous last year when I walked the West Highland Way to raise money for Nacoa (together we raised just over 1k) so I've set a more modest target this year - but please, if you can, do donate again! Every penny will go to Nacoa to support the work they do in providing a helpline, information and support to anyone of any age who has an alcoholic parent. I know from personal experience how needed their service is and am so proud to be part of raising money for them. 

I am excited to have a project to work on over the coming weeks while we are in lockdown and I am also still looking forward to the walk next year!
