Pramactive Big Push 2017 · 12 May 2017

Wood Street Mission is a Manchester children's charity which helps children and families living in poverty in Manchester & Salford. We provide practical help to help meet children’s day-to-day needs and improve their life chances. More than 1 in 3 children in Manchester is living in poverty.

Story

Hello, this is the 9th year of the Charity Big Push and to date we have raised over £24,000 for local charities.

This year the main Big Push will take place on Friday 12th May at 10.30am or Monday 8th May at 7.30pm for the BeActive women.

Our aim is always to support a local, family-focussed charity and WSM are just that! The support families living in poverty across Manchester and Salford, providing practical help with items such as school uniforms, clothing and Christmas presents. I have had the pleasure of being able to see first-hand the work they do, when as a health visitor I made numerous referrals to them for families who were desperate and In need.

The Big Push is open to all current and past Pramactive and BeActive mummies and it is always wonderful to see veteran mums come back to take part!  It is not a race and mums can walk, shuffle, jog or run the Big Push. It's about having a good time with other mums and raising as much money as we can for a very worthwhile cause.....that's it!
