Father (Rob) and Son (Dom) are cycling from Ampthill in the UK to Bilbao in Spain, to raise money for Alzheimer's Society. This epic 10 day tour covering a hefty 1,000 miles will take place between 3-12 June 2023.

This challenge means a great deal to the Edwards family as Rob’s mother and Dom's grandmother Rita has lived with dementia for the last 14 years. You may well be aware of the pain and sadness this illness causes, as it effects not just the individual but entire families. Rob and Dom are taking on this challenge not only for themselves, but for everyone going through a tough time because of Dementia. 

Fortunately it's not all sad news, progress is being made and organisations like Alzheimer's Society, who vow to help end this devastation. Which is why we’re asking for donations of any size to help us reach a target of £1,000 (now £2,000). Think of it as £1 for every mile cycled (for Rob and Dom combined), going towards the support and research into life-changing treatments that Alzheimer's Society undertake.

A bit of backstory...
Rob is no stranger to epic sporting challenges. In his youth, he cycled Land's End to John O'Groats on a tandem bicycle with his brother. More recently he cycled 750 miles from Ampthill to the Auvergne region in France. For Dom, sport also means a great deal, as well as graphic design (he couldn't miss the chance to design a logo for the occasion!) but a challenge like this is completely new territory and he'll look to lean on the support of his father. Perhaps even sit behind the wheel when the west coast winds get punchy.
