Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Due to the impact of the coronavirus, St Barnabas Hospice is facing losses of £1,000,000. This is because charity shops had to close for a period of time, fundraising events had to be cancelled and fundraising activities were reduced.

"On Yer Bike" is a challenge to cycle 100km for St Barnabas. Helen and I regularly bike together and decided to up the stakes...we are aiming to cycle 290km EACH* by the end of the summer - 10km for every year of the 29 that Dave was a teacher!

It's been 15 months since Dave died and we still think about him. We wanted to do something to support St Barnabas Hospice because they cared for Dave in such a fantastic way at the end of his life, even letting him enjoy a beer or two!

Please give generously in memory of an amazing, slightly untidy, teacher and loyal friend.

Thank you,  Ruth Hunter and Helen Addison

*This is an edit - we were aiming to do 290 km between us but now we are aiming to complete 290km each!!
