Having always lived in Blackburn with Darwen and seeing how diverse yet united the community is. I have come to the understanding that time is a priceless gift, one which i would like to give back to my community.

Seeing the number of those less fortunate rising nationally for a number of factors,  I agree that "you never really understand a person until you consider things from his (or her) point of view"

I am fundraising for Blackburn Rovers Community Trust. I
will be spending the night under the stars at Ewood Park on Friday 23rd November in order to really feel the struggles of those amongst us who we sometimes neglect. This event will be a really challenging and rewarding opportunity for me to give back to the community that has given me so much.

 It’s also a fantastic opportunity for you to all make a real difference
to the lives of homeless young people in Blackburn with Darwen, by donating money and helping to raise awareness of the issues.

All money raised through this event will be going directly
towards supporting the work of Nightsafe and Blackburn Rovers Community Trust. Both charities do tremendous work through delivery of vital projects within the Blackburn communities, ultimately having a positive impact on thousands of people each year, both mentally and physically. Nightsafe is a local homeless charity, providing services for homeless young people aged 16 – 24 in Blackburn with Darwen borough. The Shelter provides a safe place to stay with resettlement support to help them find more permanent accommodation. As the
charitable arm of Blackburn Rovers, Blackburn Rovers Community Trust are committed to providing a range of projects to all aspects of the community, in education, inclusion, health and awareness to engage with the community and improve the lives of those involved.

100% of this money raised will be going towards projects
tackling homelessness and deprivation in Blackburn, split between the two
charities.
