Throughout Bill's 85 years of life, he was always a proud Northener and a proud Sunderland fan. 

As customary, when choosing a charity to help in memory of Bill, we decided that the work of the Foundation of Light is something that he would have loved to support. The Sunderland Football Club run charity works to improve lives in the area through football with programmes impacting health, behaviour, attitude, skills, knowledge and more.
