At midday on the 27th January I will once again toe the line of the Arc Of Attrition in Coverack, with the aim of running just over 100 miles of Cornish coast path in under 36 hours.

Described as the "UKs toughest winter 100 mile ultra marathon" this will be my second time running this event, and my goal is to finish considerably faster than the 33 hours and 52 minutes it took me last year!

It seems like a wasted opportunity to run a race like this without using it as a way to raise some money for a good cause, so I'm asking people who can afford to chip in a few quid to give a donation to Gwealan Tops.

Gwealan Tops is a unique charity dedicated to promoting play for children and young people in the Redruth area.  They started with lottery funding, and continue to offer a wide range of fully staffed, opportunities for children and youngsters aged 7 and up where they can play, explore, build, create, experiment and just "be children", in an open and safe environment.  All children aged 7 and above can attend free of charge, and are fully supported as they meet new friends, take on new challenges, and build their confidence and independence across a range of activities.

Charities like Gwealan Tops are under immense pressure right now, as charitable donations are down across the board due to the current financial climate.  If you're able to give a donation, however small, it would really help!
