Thanks for visiting the Buck Health & Welfare fundraising page.
For the second year running, Buck Health & Welfare have agreed to take part in the last stage of a run from John O'Groats to Land's End. Our leg takes place on 13th September 2008 and is from Lostwithiel to Land's End, covering a distance of just over 70 miles. Most of us are running 10 miles each with the smarter ones a few running five miles ....... so now that the training is in full swing, the lycra has been delivered, commentators signed up, paparazzi on stand-by & St John's ambulances at the ready ..., we're ready to take on the hills of Cornwall! Well, kind of .......
Being the natural athletes we all are, this should be a walk in the park and our team includes the following illustrious members:
Will "the Natural" born drinker McNaughton
Adrian "the Boss" Norris
Jon "the Gifted" Green
Lisa "Marathon Girl" Parker
Will "the Gazelle" Ireson
Elaine "the Graceful" Norris
Chris "Hot Pants" Evans
John "the Pieman" Berry
Janine "Crackers" Cracknell
Samantha "Ozzie" Kwok
"Racy" Ray Ockendon
James "the Cherry" Love
Andrew "the Specialist" Supple
James "Mad" Mouland
However, having taken part last year and nearly having a coronary on the first hill, I do know it won't be the proverbial walk .....however, we would really appreciate your support in helping us achieve our fund-raising goal which, much like the hills we will have to run up, is pretty steep ......!!!!!!!!!
Our chosen charity is Seeability who do a tremendous amount of work to help blind and partially sighted people - please click on the link for further details
Now for your bit .....donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: SeeAbility gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor us now (and start praying for our Welfare!)
Thanks
