Birch’s 34th Annual Charity Run – 2014 

 

The LCFC Foxes Foundation is again supporting local charities in an attempt to raise as much money as possible for the Club’s chosen charities as follows: 

• Breast Cancer Care

• Lord Mayor’s Appeal: Macmillan Cancer Support

• Samaritans

• The Laura Centre

• LCFC Defibrillator Appeal

Over £1million has been raised since the run first began and around 90 local charities have benefitted, all thanks to you the fans.

 

I appreciate that it is difficult for many in the current economic climate but if everyone was able to contribute £1 (not even the price of half a pint of lager!) we would have a fantastic amount raised. 

 

As you all know my charity run takes place at the last home game of the season (which we are all secretly hoping will be extra special this year) when we play Doncaster Rovers on Saturday 3 May  (kick-off 12.15pm)

 

 

As always our players will join me for a couple of laps and hopefully we will have a few celebs taking part.  I am sure Dicko will support (or abuse!) the Birch as he is aware of what the run is all about from his days as a Leicester City player. 

 

 I am not sure if I will be able to do the whole 90 minutes due to my op prior to Christmas but I want to take part and will do my best.

 

 Collectors are always needed on the day of the game.  If you fancy donating an hour of your time to rattle a tin then all offers welcome (collectors must be 16 or over). Please register your interest by emailing lcfcfoxesfoundation@lcfc.co.uk. You will be required from approximately 10.00 am on the day.
