Story
Dementia is the UKs biggest killer. Someone develops it every three minutes and currently there is no cure.
For this reason, my wife and I are participating in a walk to support all those affected by dementia, especially our own family members whom we have watched suffer from this devastating disease.
For my part, I visited my aunt in a care home until she passed away and witnessed my nan's daily deterioration as she battled this illness. Similarly, Lisa is walking for her aunt, who has just recently lost her battle and sadly passed away.
Dementia not only takes away the individual but also profoundly impacts their families, who lose a cherished mum, dad, sister, brother, aunt, uncle, friend, or grandparent. It is truly heart-breaking.
We are committed to helping find a cure so that dementia no longer devastates lives.
We would be incredibly grateful if you could support our efforts by donating whatever you can. Your contribution is greatly appreciated.
