Story
Myself and my Husband are taking part in this walk for the Alzheimer’s Society in memory of our family members and for everyone currently suffering with this horrible disease.
Dave visited his aunt in a care home until she sadly passed away, and he also lived next door to his nan, watching her deteriorate every day until she passed away.
I am walking for my Aunt, who sadly passed away just 3 weeks after the walk we completed in October.
Dementia doesn’t just take away the person you love — it also takes away precious moments and memories from the families around them. Families lose mums, dads, sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles, grandparents and friends, and the heartbreak it causes is devastating.
We want to help Alzheimer’s Society continue their incredible work and help fund research to find a cure, so that dementia no longer destroys lives and families.
Please help us by donating anything you can. Every donation, no matter how small, is hugely appreciated and will make a difference.
Thank you so much for your support ❤️
