Story

The Birmingham Trees for Life project, delivered through a partnership with Birmingham City Council as the landowners and The Birmingham Civic Society as the charity, have organised tree planting events in parks and public open spaces across the city every winter since 2006 together with sponsors, volunteers and the community they have planted over 90,000 trees!

I am the Tree Planting Project Manager for BTFL and I am asking for your support to make sure BTFL are able to plant 10,000 more trees this winter (November 2021 to March 2022) to reach the target of 100,000 trees planted for the project!

The Woodland Trust is helping by providing some of the trees (sending a big thank you to them!) but to make sure BTFL make their target and can involve as many people as possible in the planting of the trees and plant as many trees as possible they need to raise funds to make sure they make it to the 100,000th tree.

I'm sure I don't need to tell you the value of trees here, just to say:

“Someone’s sitting in the shade today because someone planted a tree a long time ago.” – Warren Buffett

Please support our tree planting this winter and help us to invest in a better environment for generations to come.
