I did it to attend a local event wearing my kit and so my kids thought I was cool. 

Sadly Corona Virus/COVID19 happened and the event was cancelled. Understandably.

All of a sudden it had no purpose, that was until a friend informed me that a child’s birthday party had been cancelled and they suddenly had no friends to attend (due to COVID19) and they thought nobody cared or wanted to be their friend any more (they are only small after all.

I filmed and created a birthday message in costume to send them some joy.

3 days later and I’ve done have 150 and my inbox is on FIRE and so to keep track and ensure everybody gets the opportunity to get a personalised video... ‘Birthday Busters is born’.

MIND do admirable work into raising Mental Health awareness and also supporting those who need it. They also have a wonderful blue light programme. Having worked for 7 years in Fire & Rescue and 5 in the Police Force I'm more than aware of the incredible work they do to support people. The country and its emergency services will be under huge emotional stress as a result of COVID19 and so this is our way of giving back just a little bit and helping them at this tough time.
