Tour du BishopTON 100 mile cycle ride · 15 July 2017

Ripple Effect is creating a wave of change in rural Africa. Our farmers learn, grow and sell more, releasing the potential in their land and lives. Then they pass the knowledge on, creating a wave of change across rural Africa.

Story

On the 15th of July, Rain or Shine members of the Practice will be adorning their lycra and cycling 100 miles for charity in the first ever Tour du Bishopton

The route explores the beautiful Yorkshire country lanes between Bishopton Branches.

For those where 100 miles is just to far there will also be a shorter ride 'The Toft Grand Depart' all the riders cycle back from Easingwold to Ripon.

We will be supporting send a cow by equally  two routes, through

XL Vets- Who have a continued commitment to Send a Cow.

and

BCVA 50 - 50 of the miles cycled will be part of the 50 miles to celebrate 50 Years of British Cattle Veterinary Association

Send a Cow is a International Development charity with a difference. They’ve been working with some of Africa’s poorest families for nearly 30 years, helping over 1.3 million people work their way out of extreme poverty. They provide livestock, tools, seeds and training as part of a programme giving people the hope and means to establish a future for themselves, their families and their wider communities. They are currently delivering our programmes in seven African countries: Rwanda, Burundi, Ethiopia, Uganda, Kenya, Lesotho, and Zambia
