Black Country Barbell - Charity Event · 23 July 2019
Thanks for taking the time to visit our Black Country BarbellJustGiving page!
Mary Stevens Hospice is a local Black Country charity that provides specialist care and support for people who are living with an incurable illness, and their families.
As a fantastic fundraising initiative, the hospice are partnering with Hasbro to create a special edition of ‘Black Country Monopoly’ where local businesses will be featured and Black Country Barbell will be one of the businesses featured on the board!
To support the hospice with this amazing initiative and to raise funds for such an incredible local charity, we’re looking to raise £1500 through a series of ‘interesting’ charity events".
Beginning Tuesday 23rd July we will be doing SIX charity fundraising events as follows:
• Gigantic raffle with huge prize. Raffle tickets are on sale in-gym for this NOW with the winner to be announced Tuesday 23rd July!
• Guess the weight of the jar of protein for a prize. Winner to be announced Wednesday 24th July!
• Sponsored titanic anchor deadlift - our gym manager will aim to deadlift the weight of the titanic anchors (31,000kg) over the course of the day!
• Sponsored chest wax for one of our lucky PTs...!
• Sponsored marathon row where a team of people will look to row 52.4 miles which is twice the distance of a marathon
• Finally, one of our gym owners will be walking from Black Country Barbell to the Glass Cone in Stourbridge with a yoke! That’s a 1.5 mile walk with 100kg on his back!
We would appreciate any donations you can give in support of these events for Mary Stevens Hospice!
We have set up an online fundraising page with the link in our bio for anyone who would like to help sponsor us for these events!
