Story

Hello!

Crews from Blackburn Fire Station plus support crew are setting off to complete the Coast to Coast by bike in July this year.  Our itinerary is:-

Day 1 - we travel to the West Coast of England, Whitehaven in Cumbria via minibus and support crew.  After dipping our back wheels into the Irish Sea we set off from Whitehaven to Scales.  30 miles and 3500ft. of ascent through Whinlatter Pass to Scales and stay overnight at the White Horse Inn Bunkhouse.

Day 2 - we cycle to Langdon Beck.  46 miles and 4300 ft. of ascent continuing eastwards through Penrith heading into the North Pennines through Garrigill and staying overnight at Langdon Beck Youth Hostel.

Day 3 - we cycle to Whitley Bay.  54 miles and 2900 ft. of ascent continuing eastwards leaving the North Pennines and heading into County Durham passing through Stanhope and into Newcastle to finish at Whitley Bay on the East Coast.  This time dipping our front wheels into the North Sea.

Please help us to raise money for the Fire fighters Charity by donating to our Just Giving Page and wish us luck!
