Story
On Wednesday May 13th, Rovers employees can experience one of the Five Pillars of Islam by going without food and water from dawn to sunset (3am to 9pm).
Just as the current crisis has provided us all with the opportunity to reflect on the things we value and perhaps took for granted before the lockdown, the month of Ramadhan teaches people to be more appreciative of what they have, whilst also cultivating mental toughness and self-control.
Throughout this holy month, British Muslims will also give away a portion of their wealth in order to help those in need, with this year’s chosen charity being Thank You NHS, in support of East Lancashire Hospital Trust during this difficult time.
So, join us on May 13th and fast for one day, as we show support to our local community and the NHS.
