Let us introduce ourselves ~ The Black Jack & Bow Tie Committee got together during the summer of 2006 after deciding that we’d quite like to organise a fundraising event for a local charity.

Deciding on the charity to support came about because at that time, between the four of us, we knew more than a dozen people who either, had cancer and were undergoing treatment, had survived cancer and had just been given the all-clear, or who had sadly lost their battle; and so we chose Clatterbridge Cancer Research (CCR) as the charity to support.

We organised a Fun Casino which was a Black Tie event ~ and our name was born!!

Since then, we have continued to support cancer research, with a range of fabulous events which are mostly glitzy affairs and, as the name suggests,  ‘Black Tie’ is essential for most of them! When possible we try to host two Black Tie evenings every year which comprise of either entertainment or a ‘fun casino’.
