Story
As a lot of charity fundraising is going digital and supporters carrying less cash to drop into buckets. New ideas need to thought of. Contactless donation machines are now being seen at a lot of events, however these can be expensive to run, which impacts on the final result.
As Volunteer Poppy Appeal Honorary Area Organiser for Blackpool, making sure our supporters feel safe when making donations is very important to me and the Blackpool Team. All donations via JustGiving are paid directly into the charities bank account, after JustGiving`s processing fee. This means your donation is 100% secure.
If you wish your donation to go towards a friend or relatives fundraising event, please leave details in the message box. A donation in memory of someone can also be done the same way.
ABOUT ME: -
I had the honor or taking over as P.A.O. for Blackpool on 01 October 2019. This was my 15th year being involved with the annual Poppy Appeal. Having started as a P.A.O. in Edinburgh via our sister charity "Poppyscotland". On moving south of the border in 2016, I carried on being involved with the appeal as a collection volunteer until the P.A.O. role became available.
The first year at the helm of Blackpool was a great success as the new volunteer team raised a massive £63,446.60. This was an increase of £26,042.49 from the 2018 appeal total. Saying "Thank You" to my new volunteer team and the people of Blackpool do not seem to go far enough.
I plan to keep this page open for donations for a long as possible to allow supporters to show their support by donating online. The target amount is only a starting point, as going by the response to the 2019 appeal I am sure the people of Blackpool was soon beat this.

Thank You all in advance for your support.
