The Compassionate Friends offers support and friendship to parents and families after the death of a son or daughter, at any age and from any cause. It also offers support, advice and information to other relatives, friends and professional carers who are helping the family.

Story

On 12th March 2011, our gorgeous son Blaine Smith, lost his life to asthma.  He was just 9 days away from celebrating his 10th birthday.  The 21st March 2019 would have been Blaine’s 18th Birthday.

His 18th birthday is a time to reflect on and celebrate the wonderful child he was. To mark this we would like to raise money for The Compassionate Friends (TCF).

TCF provide comfort, support and hope to bereaved parents so that together they can survive after the heart-breaking loss of a precious, much loved child.

This year the TCF are reaching their 50th anniversary. This coincides with what would be a major milestone in our lives. It therefore seems fitting for us to fundraise for them in Blaine's memory.

Any amount you can give would be hugely appreciated.

Thank you.
