Prom the Proms · 20 July 2013

We believe every blind veteran should be able to lead the life they choose. At Blind Veterans UK we’re one, transformational team. We provide rehabilitation, training, practical advice and emotional support. Together we can help rebuild lives.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our Just Giving page.

This is no walk in the park, we will be pushing ourselves to the limit in this attempt to Prom the Proms, a 29 mile (47km) walk between Barkby Beach, Prestatyn and ending at The Pier in Llandudno. To make it that bit more difficult, large sections of it will be completed under blindfold with a sighted guide.

It’s not going to be easy but we hope to raise awareness of the wonderful things that our charity does for its members.

It’s now time for us to start raising some money. We are walking in aid of Blind Veterans UK. It’s a truly remarkable charity who offer invaluable physical and emotional support to blind and visually impaired ex-Service men and women, helping them to adjust to their loss of sight and learn new skills.

Donating through Just Giving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe and Just Giving will never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate and we raise more, whilst saving time.

Thank you so much for reading this and we hope you will give whatever you can to this charity. We will do our very best to make you all proud on the day.
