World Land Trust protects the world’s most biologically significant and threatened habitats acre by acre. Through a network of partner organisations around the world, WLT funds the creation of reserves and provides permanent protection for habitats and wildlife.

Story

We are finally able to resume our Cycle Rebels event. Just local/UK for now. But after 2 years of break and 18 months of being lock-down, this is going to be a challenge!

A 25 odd cycle rebels, UK based, gonna try to finish (in one piece) 200+ miles cycle challenge from London to Bristol (via Winchester...)

We want to use this opportunity to raise awareness and raise meaningful funds for a great cause - World Land Trust Buy an Acre programme

https://www.worldlandtrust.org/appeals/buy-an-acre/

What is it about?

For every £100 donation to the Buy an Acre programme, World Land Trust partners will be able to purchase one acre of habitat and protect it in perpetuity for wildlife.

How big is an acre you might wonder. depends how you count
1 acre =
~60% football/soccer pitch
~75% American football field
~16 tennis courts

That's quite big isn't ?
If you would like to hear from Sir David Attenborough himself, why he is a patron to this charity, here is the link below. Worth the 5 minute watch!

Hope you feel compelled to support this great initiative as much as we do! Our raised funds will go long way to support land purchase projects in Brazil and Argentina and permanently dedicate it to wildlife.

If you are BLK employee and donate, please don't be anonymous donor. This will allow us to have BLK to match your donation. So that's double the impact!
