Bloxham and Barlow have always been strong supporters of Weston Hospicecare and have hosted many events in aid of this worthy cause. We were offered the opportunity to not only sponsor the abseil but for staff members to take part, many of them said they weren't brave enough to do it but Diane Hearle (our eldest member of staff) and Tom Tilsley (our youngest) both stepped up to the plate!!

This year, Weston Hospicecare is holding its first-ever abseil event in the rocky shadows of Uphill Quarry, which is just a short walk from the hospice itself. On Saturday, 15 July, more than 20 participants of varying ages and abilities will be abseiling down the 150-foot cliffs at Uphill Quarry to raise funds for the hospice.
