Story

Bloxham School is challenging itself to climb the vertical height from Everest base camp to the summit of Everest. That is approx. 3484 metres of height gain but will take them to the virtual height of Everest 8848m. An attempt will be made on this virtual Everest on Sunday 6th December 2020.

Each House will have an hour to complete and contribute to the ascent of the mountain. This by 'glacial' crossing (a gym equipment obstacle course), a trek (staircase Climb) and the famous 'Hillary Step' (the Dewey climbing wall).

Along the way there will be problem solving challenges including carrying equipment, building camps and being roped together. This event will be a serious challenge but will also be a lot of fun. This challenge will also be raising money for the World Land Trust www.worldlandtrust.org.
