Twmbarlwm Sponsored Walk for Blue Cross Newport · 4 October 2017

Sick, injured and homeless pets have relied on us since 1897. Thousands of abandoned or unwanted, ill or injured, pets turn to us for help every year. Our doors are always open to them, and with your support, they always will be.

Story

Hi everyone! Thanks for visiting our page!

Blue Cross week is swiftly upon us where centres up and down the country will be partaking in activities and events across seven days between the 2nd and 8th of October to raise funds for the sick, homeless, stray and abandoned pets in our care.

Blue Cross Newport rehoming centre has been open nearly a year and in that time we've helped hundreds of pets find new homes and we couldn't have done it without our local community and fantastic supporters like you! On average it can cost us up to £600 to care for a dog and for the duration of its stay with us, however we only charge a £160 rehoming fee. We ensure all our pets go to safe, healthy, happy homes and that all their needs will be met by their new family.

The team here at Newport have decided to do something very exciting and go on a trek up Twmbarlwm with our kennel dogs to raise funds for our centre. We will be climbing 419 metres up to the top on the 4th October and we need your help!

As volunteers and staff, we see first hand how important donations are to help our pets and every penny helps towards their care and treatment they need whilst in our care.

If you can spare a couple of pounds towards our fundraising goal of £250, we and the rest of our furry friends would be most grateful!

Thank you so much for all your support!
