Story
The challenge is to cover 5160 miles in four weeks and raise £5160, a pound per mile.
5160 represents the 86 miles from PiP to the Isle of Wight multiplied by PiP’s 60 students as PiP had planned to hold a fund raising team building exercise for students and corporate partners on the Isle of Wight in June, but due to COVID this had to be cancelled.
PiP supports adults with learning disabilities to be as independent as they can be. PiP help them learn key life skills such as reading, writing, safe travel, work, and being healthy.
The money raised will be used to take 60 PiP students on a trip, where they can learn independent skills and build their confidence such as making decisions, personal care, building confidence in new situations (many PiP students struggle with change). Physical activity (many PiP students struggle with health related issues and find it hard to exercise)
