We are a national charity that believes books, reading and writing have the power to change lives. A love of reading inspires creativity, improves employment opportunities, mental health and wellbeing and is one of the most effective ways to help break the poverty cycle.

Story

100 Peeps, 100 Books, 100 Tenners is a project that represents my personal contribution to the Scottish Book Trust’s Bookfellas project.

Bookfellas is an initiative that brings together 50 men and aims to raise £50,000 to ensure that everyone in Scotland has the same opportunity to thrive through reading and writing.

My way of raising my £1,000 contribution? Get 100 contributions of £10 from people I know or can rope in to the project. I’ll ask each of them to share a book that’s meaningful to them, tell us a little about it, and send me the cash.
