Story
In 2019 I developed blurred vision, and was diagnosed with something called Non-Arteritic Anterior Ischaemic Optic Neuropathy (remember that, there will be a test at the end). It was suspected that this had been caused by an arterial clot.
So began a suite of tests (including the MRI scan in my photo) to determine if I may be at increased risk of stroke, or may even have already had previous stroke events.
I got the all-clear. I'm one of the lucky ones. So, when I decided to take on the Edinburgh Marathon, I wanted to support Stroke Association as they "... provide specialist support, fund critical research and campaign to make sure people affected by stroke get the very best care and support to rebuild their lives".
