Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

It's that time again, charity bike ride 2022!!

This year we will be riding through the Lincolnshire Wolds to raise much needed funds for The Butterfield Centre. Cycling over 200 miles across some of the toughest terrain that Lincolnshire has to offer. 20 cyclists and 2 support drivers will embark on the challenge, setting off from Bourne on 23rd September. All monies raised will go directly to the charity, all costs for accommodation etc have been self funded by those taking part. With support vehicle kindly supplied again by Hall & Hall.

Established in 1986, The Butterfield Centre provides a space where
people can meet up with friends and enjoy social activities with the overall aim of promoting wellbeing and reducing social isolation and loneliness in our local community.

Based in Bourne and supporting Bourne and the surrounding local villages.

They offer services and activities to appeal to and cater for a wide range of needs in our local community. -  Coffee and chat ,  Lunch Club ,Community Pantry, Meals on wheels, home help and a companionship service.

Funds  raised will be used towards a kitchen refurbishment. This refurbishment will enable Butterfield to run the lunch club more often than currently possible and  would  allow them to increase the
number of users who benefit from the lunch club and their meals on wheel service.

This is a truly amazing service that makes such a difference to so many local people. Hopefully, the funds raised will make a difference and help them continue with their great work.
