For 42 years, Sobell House Hospice has been providing specialist palliative care to adults with advanced, progressive illnesses and supporting families facing loss. Each year, they provide more than 3,000 people in Oxfordshire with the care they need on their ward, day centre, in the local hospitals and in the community. By making a donation to our cause you are helping to make sure that more people can get the care they need.
One of the people they helped was Timmy James, friend and colleague who sadly passed away from cancer in November 2018. Sobell House were a great support to him and his family.
In 2011 Timmy was part of a group of us who somehow managed to complete the national three peaks, contributing £3000 to Cancer Research UK. In preparation for this we did the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge. Most of us involved considered this to be more difficult so in memory of Timmy and hopefully raise a few quid for Sobell on the way, some of the original group plus some other fantastic people will be back in Yorkshire this July.
