Story
Firstly, thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On Sunday 8 July I'll be taking part in Macmillan's ‘Longest Day Golf Challenge’ in order to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support. This is basically playing 72 holes of golf in a single day, which as a beginner equates to over 400 shots, while trekking round 15 miles of golf course, taking approx 16 hours in total.
Just the idea of playing 4 rounds of continuous golf seems exhausting, so the actual event could be a bit of an ordeal…..especially as golf buggies are off the agenda!
But luckily this is a team event, so between the four of us we’ll battle through the aches, pains and (no doubt) rain to finish all 72 holes before nightfall.
