Dentist at the Desert for Benevolent Fund

Marathon des Sables 2019 · 5 April 2019 to 15 April 2019 ·
Life is full of surprises and circumstances can change suddenly
for many reasons. The BDA Benevolent Fund over the years has been there for families of dentists providing the help that is so needed at a difficult time. The charity relies on donations and every £1 donated goes directly to a dentist and their family in crisis so your help really does support someone in need.
On 5th April 2019, I will be taking part in the Marathon Des Sables (MDS) race to raise the awareness of the BDA Benevolent Fund and raise cash for the charity. MDS has been described as The Toughest
Footrace on Earth. In just 6 days I will attempt to run/walk/craw over 250km (156 miles) through the Sahara Desert, self-sufficient, and carrying all food and equipment for the week in my rucksack.
Never been much of runner, a sport physiotherapist once told me that I wasn’t design for running - this will test me to the limit. I have been training consistently for some time now yet I am sure in the six days, the hot desert will be the beautiful arena for the most demanding and grueling things I will have done so far in my life. I am looking forward to embarking on this life-changing epic adventure in the Morocco Sahara Desert.
Thank you for all of your support and donation.
