We are Hourglass - formerly Action on Elder Abuse - the voice for older people at risk. We provide a Helpline and programmes to deliver direct support to victims and survivors of abuse. We campaign to stop harm of older people and to create an environment where safer ageing is guaranteed for all.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Over 500,000 older people are abused in the uk each year. Elder abuse can accur anywhere. This includes in someone's own home, a residential home, or a hospital. Both older men and women can be at risk of abuse, though a majority of victims are women over the age of 70.

I want to help with the work Action on Elder Abuse do to help keep these people safe, and away from harm and the malicious attacks that happen everyday.
