We are fighting to make a world where diabetes does no harm

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

***** Please see important update in the updates section below *****

We are aiming to cycle part of the Brittany coast to raise funds
for Diabetes UK.

It is estimated (in 2016) that over 400 Million people
worldwide suffer from Diabetes. There are various types of Diabetes, the most
common of which can be managed with help.

Our friend Anton and his family are directly affected by Diabetes
with their daughter, Ana-Luise, suffering from the condition.

Ana-Luise has Type 1 diabetes which she has had since the
age of 11. There is no history of the disease in the families which is thought
to be a contributing factor. The cause of type 1 Diabetes is still unknown. Type
1 Diabetes has no connection to bad diet.

Ana-Luise still finds it difficult to control her blood
sugar levels and it causes many constraints on her life.

Diabetes UK are funding research in to try and find better
ways to prevent and managed diabetes.

We feel that projects like these are the way forward to
improving the lives of those coping with Diabetes.

So please help us to raise some funds for Diabetes UK to
help improve the lives of those with Diabetes.

Someone is diagnosed with diabetes every two minutes. Your
donation can change lives.

Please donate to the Diabetes UK charity through our just
giving page and help support this essential and worthwhile cause.

Thank you for your visit
