In Early 2021, we heard of the horrific story of Louis Thorold, who at just 5 months old was killed whilst being pushed in his pram by his mum Rachel. Louis’ dad Chris, who worked at the same company as Holly, has set up the foundation in Louis honour to campaign for safer roads, so that nobody has to go through what they have.

At the time of hearing this awful story, we had ourselves just discovered we were expecting our first baby together, making this story hit home even harder.

After following the updates on the case, the verdict was given, and a victim statement from Chris & Rachel, Louis’ parents was released. Holly couldn’t finish reading it, the details too upsetting, imagining how we would feel if it were our beautiful baby boy was just too much. Bobby, who for anyone who knows him is a very matter of fact person, was in tears as well. After this, we both instantly said we wanted to do something to try and raise as much money as we could to help this charity and raise awareness of their cause.
