Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

On the 23rd April 2023 two On-Call Firefighters from Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service, Bodmin Community Fire Station, will be running the London Marathon, but there’s a twist…

If we raise £4,500, we’ll run the marathon in full fire kit!

The Firefighter’s Charity provide rehabilitation and support services to the Fire and Rescue Service community, including serving and retired Firefighters, FRS personnel and their dependants.

It costs over £8million per year to keep the charity running and they rely solely on donations and fundraising to keep the charity running.

The charity offer’s three core services which are:

Rehabilitation - Residential programmes run by medical professionals to treat a wide range of injuries and conditions.

Recuperation - Recover from injury, illness or surgery on the coast/in the countryside where the peaceful environment aids physical and emotionally recovery for individuals or families.

Community Services - Confidential and impartial helpline service, offering advice, guidance and support on a wide range of issues.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
