At Bees Abroad we create Beekeepers for Life. We have launched a new initiative focused on empowering the next generation of women beekeepers. With your support, we can educate and train women to become beekeepers, leaders and entrepreneurs. Our aim is to build a network of women led beekeeping cooperatives in Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, Tanzania and Uganda. Traditionally, rural women have encountered many barriers to becoming beekeepers ranging from its perception as an all-male domain and lack of capital to access training and purchase hives and bee suits. Bees Abroad remove these barriers. We recognise the power of beekeeping to change lives by providing a sustainable income and livelihood.
